“3D Secure verification failed”

Why this happens
The 3D Secure (Verified by Visa / Mastercard ID Check) step didn't complete. Either it's not enabled on the card, your bank's 3DS server timed out, or you dismissed the bank's OTP/SMS prompt.
How to fix it

Enable 3D Secure in your bank's app: usually Security → Verified by Visa / Mastercard ID Check → turn on.

Retry the payment — when the bank's verification screen pops up (OTP by SMS or in-app approve), complete it within 60 seconds.

If your bank's 3D Secure is via a separate authenticator app, make sure that app is installed and logged in before paying.

Cards with weak 3DS implementation (some prepaid, some credit-union cards) fail repeatedly — switch to a major-bank Visa/Mastercard or Wise/Revolut.
